Gift with Purchases (GWPs)

First, let’s review the GWPs and how to get them. These are freebies that Lego will give all customers for buying qualifying purchases in-store or online at lego.com. The GWPs are stackable; therefore, you will get all three with a $150 purchase (plus your VIP points). Only Star Wars sets are eligible to meet the threshold.

Death Star II #40591, 289 pieces, $150 threshold:

The mini Death Star is a fantastic GWP that will look stunning on any Star Wars fan’s shelf. I can see many desks donning this soon! The 40th Return of the Jedi anniversary tile makes this set instantly collectible and one that will attract Lego investors to snag multiples of the GWP.

It’s a cracking recreation of the Death Star, and many fans hope this indicates that a new UCS version is in the Lego pipeline.

Lego values this set at $24.99, making the $150 threshold a great deal that is accessible to most Lego Star Wars fans.

Return of the Jedi 40th Collectable #5007840, 97 pieces, $85 threshold:

At the $85 threshold is a coin collectible, a departure from the typical Lego set offerings. The coin depicts the Death Star plans, so it’s a great tie-in to the other GWP. While I am always most excited about free Lego. this is a lovely collectible that most fans will appreciate.

X-Wing Starfighter #30654, 87 pieces, $40 threshold:

The final GWP is a poly bag X-Wing, valued at $4.99. the recreation of the iconic fighter is remarkable for a small set. With the UCS version releasing this week, pairing that with this set is lovely. If small models aren’t your thing, this is an excellent polybag to give a child or keep as a stocking stuffer.

5X VIP points and online discount sets by region

Lego is bringing back the same system used during the Black Friday event in 2022 – where select sets are eligible for 5X VIP points in-store only – equating to 25% cashback.

If redeeming online, you must go to the VIP rewards center to get the discount code and add it to your cart. Each code will cost 100 VIP points to redeem. The discount is 20% off the purchase price.

The selection for Australia, Europe, and North America is different, which I can see frustrating Lego fans. However, these are the sets with this exclusive 5X points offer. Australians have the best choice for a deep discount, with two UCS sets to choose from.

Australia:

The Justifier #75323
Razor Crest #75323
Boba Fett’s Throne Room #75326
Obi-Wan Kenobi vs. Darth Vader #75334
The Republic Gunship #75309

Europe:

The Justifier #75323
The Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter #75325
The Razor Crest #75331
Obi-Wan Kenobi vs. Darth Vader #75334
Ambush on Ferrix #75338

North America:

The Justifier #75323
Boba Fett’s Throne Room #75326
AT-ST #75332
Ambush on Ferrix #75338
Dark Trooper Helmet #75343

Rewards center exclusives

The rewards center will be full of goodies, including sweepstakes to win a signed UCS Imperial Star Destroyer. This is a fantastic prize, especially for fans that missed out on adding this retired set to their collection.

There are other sweepstakes and chances to win Star Wars merchandise, so check out the rewards center during the event.

Sets to consider

Finally, Lego is releasing numerous sets, so there is something new to collect to celebrate the franchise. Lego has produced an excellent Star Wars wave with various price points and styles. These are my favorite three new sets – all are available to VIP members starting May 1st.

UCS X-Wing Starfighter, $239.99

Emperor’s Throne Room Diorama, $99.99

Executor Super Star Destroyer, $69.99

Final thoughts

Lego knows Star Wars is its biggest seller and license and has produced a varied selection of GWPs, discounts, and prizes to help Lego Star Wars fans celebrate May the fourth. The new sets are glorious and a beautiful way to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Return of the Jedi release. The exclusive print tiles on these GWPs and sets will make this a Star Wars day for the books.
