City Update 2: Placing the SitComplex, purchases, and upcoming builds

I’ve been busy constructing the Central Perk and Friends Apartments MOC this week, finding a deal on the Medieval Castle set, and planning future builds. The city is starting to take shape with the apartment building, and the coffee shop has become the city’s hub!

Review: Nano Gauntlet #76223

The Nano Gauntlet is a $69.99, 675-piece, 18+ Marvel set released in August 2022. I snapped up the set during the July sales and loved the build and the final product’s appearance. A must for every Marvel fan!

July 2023 Sales Haul

Lego was on sale last week across several retailers, notably Amazon, Target, and Lego. I picked up quite a few sets that had been on my wish list, waiting for a sale. The most represented theme is Marvel, but there are also Dots, Avatar, and Creator 3-in-1 sets included too!

Review: The New Guardians’ Ship #76255

The New Guardians’ Ship ties in beautifully with the release of Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3. The 1,108-piece set retails for $99.99 and includes five minifigures (four exclusive). It’s a vibrant, faithful recreation that is a delight to build — a must-buy for any Marvel fan.

Review: The Avengers Quinjet #76248

The Avengers Quinjet has 795 pieces and was released in January of 2023. The set captures the 2012 Quinjet magnificently and can be stylized with SHIELD or Avengers logos. With multiple display styles and five minifigures (4 unique), this is a must for all Avengers fans!

Review: Taskmaster’s Ambush #77905

Taskmaster Ambush is a limited edition set available only in October 2020. I picked it up recently to help complete my Black Widow minifigure collection. Apart from three exclusive minifigures, the set has a beautiful, versatile vehicle mounted on a stunning display base.

Preview: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Sets

Guardians of the Galaxy volume three hits theatres on May 5th, 2023, and to celebrate the latest film in Marvel cinematic universe, Lego has produced three sets to tie in with the movie. The sets are priced between $10-100, so there is something for everyone. I’m most excited for the vibrantly-colored New Guardians’ Ship.

Review: Sanctuary II: Endgame Battle

Sanctuary II: Endgame Battle is a 322-piece set that captures Thanos’ main spaceship in the Avengers Infinity Saga. It has two unique minifigures (Thanos and Captain Marvel) and retails for $40. Recently retired, this is a set you’ll want to grab quickly if you’re a collector.

Review: Captain America and Hydra Face-off #76189

I enjoy the Marvel Cinematic Universe and one of my favorite characters is Captain America. When I saw this set reduced right before retirement, I snapped it up for the minifigures. It’s a great set that will stand the test of child’s play.
